Try to see what problems people are having or situations they r facing and try to talk about them- like have a small consultation session- as in advice that they would come to seek.

More participation....At end of meeting give everybody the option of presenting their opinions in 3 minutes or less...that way you get an immediate feedback on everybodys stand on the issues at hand...

The lectures should discuss more on the gospel reading that is read during sunday mass and then they should discuss its symbolic meanings.

to increase interest and attendance, the subject topics discussed on Fridays need to be in the interest of those attending.  For example, discussions should be around day-to-day activities in peoples lives and how they can keep the lord in mind in everything that they do.  There are lots of challenges in ones life that cause one to choose one way over another.   How do we keep on the same road ?

We should also be discussing the important biblical events associated with that week. For example, if it's Christmas, we should discuss Christmas and its purpose. etc.
